🥳 Coalition Capital is excited to welcome Lawrence Illg to our advisory board. Larry's close collaboration with our partner Sebastiaan Vaessen spans more than a decade and has been a cornerstone of their shared success. While at the $130bn global internet investor Prosus Group, they launched its Prosus Ventures arm, and pioneered the company's foray into Food Delivery and EdTech sectors. During his tenure as CEO of PayU, Larry also worked closely with other members of the Coalition team Kyang Yung and Mario Shiliashki.
 
With more than two decades at the helm of global internet companies, Larry brings an exceptional depth of expertise, network and track record in the Future of Commerce, Finance and Work further reinforcing Coalition’s proposition in that space.
 
Larry has been on the executive leadership team at Naspers Limited and Prosus Group since 2013. He served as CEO for its Food and Edtech divisions after serving as Chief Executive Officer of Prosus Ventures since 2015, where he led investments in food delivery, education, fintech and more. He is also on the board of several Prosus portfolio companies, including iFood, Skillsoft, Honor, Brainly, and Swiggy.
 
Before joining Prosus Group and Naspers Limited in 2013 as the Chief Operating Officer, Larry was Vice President of Ventures at Trulia, a leading U.S. online real estate marketplace. Prior to Trulia, he spent eight years as an executive at eBay, responsible for strategy and general management of many of its global marketplaces and classifieds assets.
 
As a member of our advisory board, Larry's wealth of experience will further empower our mission to identify and nurture transformative investment opportunities in the Future of Commerce, Finance and Work.
